VSchool Trend for Working Parents: Does the Flexibility Actually Help?

Written 15 August 2026. Opinions are our own -- see our disclosure.

The scheduling problem this is meant to solve

Fixed tuition class times are hard to work around for parents with irregular hours -- a self-paced platform is pitched as the fix.

Does the flexibility actually help?

In practice, yes for logistics (no fixed pickup times), but flexibility cuts both ways -- without a fixed class, nothing forces usage to actually happen. Working parents who benefit most tend to set a specific slot (e.g. right after dinner) rather than leaving it fully open-ended.

Practical tip

A short daily reminder or a fixed slot works better than "whenever there's time" for most working households -- the app being always-available doesn't mean it gets used without some structure from the parent.
